This was scary, to me anyway. All I needed was to install my end graft and the side assembly would be finished, ready for top and back. When I got ready to route a groove I couldn't find a bit the right size that would chuck into my dremel or my laminate trimmer so I used my 3 hp Bosch plunge router. I don't recommend everyone try this, although it came out fine, it sure made me nervous. I have since ordered the correct bit. Kinda like using a sledge hammer to drive a thumb tack.

I use a thin kerf Japanese saw to cut the channel and a good sharp chisel to remove the waste. Works ok, but I think I am going to switch to the router method as soon as I get a jig built.Dave Rector38610.3632060185

a dovetail saw and then chisel out the area. This can be done in about ten minutes.
